After five years of development, the new laminated composite Lexite™ will soon be available to the pallet industry. Made primarily from scrap tires, recycled paper and recycled glass, Lexite™ is capable of supporting significantly more weight than wood, making it an ideal pallet material. This unique durability leads to lower pallet repair costs, fewer replacements and a lower total cost of ownership for each pallet in the pool.
"After years of development and testing, we are thrilled to be bringing Lexite™ to the pallet industry," said Art Roth, President and Founder of Hunter Paine Enterprises. "Our confidence in Lexite™ and its market performance stems from the unique patented process and materials that make up Lexite™ as well as the broad array of expertise that has contributed to the development and manufacturing process for Lexite™."
In addition to its strength and durability, Lexite™ is also lighter than wood and 100% phytosanitary (impervious to insects, mold, bacteria growth and contamination), a requirement for food product shipments, international destinations and clean room environments. The unique manufacturing process for Lexite™ allows RFID tags to be embedded in the boards, providing an integrated platform for merchandise tracking and inventory management. Lexite™ can also be manufactured to exact length and density specifications, making it ideal for custom pallets required to transport large, awkward and heavy materials and equipment.
Strong and durable, made from post consumer waste and 100% reusable, repairable and recyclable, Lexite™represents the environmental profile required for sustainable future growth.
