HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Where Ecology Meets Technology™

Lexite™ is a patented laminated composite made primarily from scrap tires, recycled paper and recycled glass. It is strong and weather resistant, and when used in making pallets, outlasts traditional wood pallets by more than 5 to 1. There are currently 664 million wood pallets produced in the U.S. each year and a third of these end up in landfills. Over half of the materials used to make Lexite™ are recycled, and once made, Lexite™ is 100% reusable and 100% recyclable. Using Lexite™ pallets reduces the number of wood pallets being made, reducing the number of trees being harvested for pallets and the number of pallets being put into landfills.

Current company estimates show a projected daily use of 20,000 scrap tires and almost 100,000 linear yards of recycled paper. These recycled materials are used in an environmentally friendly manufacturing process with no waste produced and no toxic or volatile ingredients added. The patented Lexite™ composite has many other uses the company intends to explore including the replacement of wood in highway guardrails, construction materials, decking, fencing and roof paneling. Penetrating these additional markets will further augment the positive impact Lexite™ is having on the environment.

As a company, Hunter Paine the manufacturer of Lexite™ is committed to the development of new green technologies. The company's products are made by diverting materials from the current waste stream, and using patented technology to convert this waste into valuable products for industry. As a caring corporate citizen, Hunter Paine is committed to sustainable growth, ecological management and pollution-free manufacturing.
