Lexite™ is a patented, pressure-extruded laminate made primarily from recycled paper, recycled glass, reinforcements, and a blend of proprietary binders. The laminate is folded into the desired lumber profile, and filled with a combination of rigid foam, recycled tires, and other recycled content.
The inner core of Lexite™ is designed to contain a variety of different recycled components, ranging from rubber tires to rice husks, and including recycled Lexite™ boards and office waste paper generated by Hunter Paine.
The components of Lexite™ work together as a sandwiched composite, much the same as advanced aircraft composites used in aerospace. This patented synergy creates the strength, durability, and unique product attributes of Lexite™.
